Aruto HowlingThe night slowly settled itself in the sky as the last rays of sunshine vanished over the tops of the trees lining the forest. The chirping of birds turned into the hooting of owls, and the crickets woke themselves and began to sing, shattering the silence brought on by the dark. Hayden yawned with boredom as he steadily made his way to the edge of the forest. His bright eyes slowly weaved around the scenery, disinterested. He wasn't much of a daredevil, but boredom could do strange things to a person. Oh well. At least it's quiet in here.Sighing, Hayden climbed other the last patches of grass and stepped into the dusty earth of the forest, flattened by the generations of animals that had trodden over it. At least the animals won't disturb me. Well, aside from the nocturnal ones. Whatever. The snapping of twigs and branches marked the start of his midnight stroll, and he plunged into the darkness of the forest, wondering what he might find.
