The blond eighteen-year-old slouched against the wall of the courtyard, watching his dog wander around.

How Joshua had gotten a golden retriever into the courtyard was anyone's guess. The dog was so well-behaved it stayed off its leash as it sniffed among the flowers.

Of course, it wasn't really a dog, but no one had to know that. He kept the retriever around so it could bring messages back to the DOS, but it really did act just like a dog.

He looked up just in time to see it urinate on a particularly nice patch of flowers, tongue lolling out as it trotted away. Already they were beginning to yellow; urine was just another perk of being a monster.

A nasty dog, but a dog all the same.

Elizabeta was being lazy today, and it was obvious. Every few seconds, she would stand in one spot. The next, she would be gone and in a different spot, using her teleportation powers to move around to the school when she absolutely sure no one was in site around her. She was about to do it again when she noticed the blond boy standing not far away. The girl stopped, her green gaze fixed on him as her brown hair billowed in front of her. She took a step back hesitantly before walking toward him.

Maybe he didn't notice.

"Szia- No, hello." she said when a small nod to him, flushing slightly at her Hungarian. 

She still wasn't used to speaking English on a daily basis.

Aruto entered the courtyard as he did the other day. Yet.. there was a dog here. He saw it trotting along near a student. Then he also saw his fellow council member. To be honest out of this situation the only thing he really had any interest in was the dog. Animals were one of his favourite things, he couldn't help but be curious.

Deciding to approach the two he nodded to the two in greeting. "Yo." He greeted quietly. "That's a retriever, correct?" He noted aloud, eyeing the dog. "A great breed." Noticing he had gone off merely about the dog he scratched the back of his head nervously and gave a small sheepish grin. "Hi.." He repeated. "My name is Aruto, nice to meet you. Nice to see you again too, Eliza." He greeted a bit more casually.

Joshua hadn't noticed the Hungarian girl teleporting in, but the retriever had. It barked twice, wagging its tail. That was the symbol for a student with power.

"Szwha?" he asked, blinking. "You have a pretty neat accent. Where're you from?"

Another two barks. The other boy had powers too. He tilted his head and raised his hand in greeting. "Yep, purebred retriever. Excellent at what he does." Knowing no one would get it unless they were spies themselves, he grinned. "My name's Joshua. Nice to meet you guys. Ya know each other?"

Elizabeta heard two barks, looking over to see the dog. She gave a tiny squeal, a smile on her face with her hands in fists near her mouth. "It's so cute!" she chimed. When the boy, Joshua, talked to her, she turned her head back toward him. She nodded to him. "It's, uh, Hungarian. I'm from Hungary." she commented.

Elizabeta turned her head, smiling at Aruto. "Yo to you too." she replied. Finally, she nodded to Joshua. "We know each other. Nice to meet you, Joshua. My name is Elizabeta, but you can call me Eliza or Liz. I don't really care."

"It is cute. I'll agree." He glanced back at the dog. "Oh, yeah. We're both members of the student council so were moderately acquainted." He shrugged. "Nice to meet you Joshua." To his recognition it was his first time meeting this student. He hadn't seen him around before. Even with Aruto himself being a former DOS member he didn't suspect anything out of Joshua. Then again it had been a good year or so since he had been affiliated with DOS in any way.

Even being a former member he couldn't really distinct non members from members. He returned his attention back to the dog. "So.. how are you both?" He asked.

Joshua leaned down to scratch the golden retriever behind the ears. Two more on the list, he thought to himself. The monster had probably already memorized the names, so it wouldn't be much of an issue.

The fact that they were members of the council, however, was interesting. He'd have to keep in touch with the two of them.

"Hungarian? That's an unusual language. What brings you here?"

"Doing pretty well. Once the dog is done pissing I'll have the rest of the afternoon to myself. How about you?"

"Though it may be unusual, it is quite beautiful. I came for the school. I also probably escaped a planned marriage in the process as well, which is a bonus." she comment, holding both her hands together in front of the skirt of her dress. 

Elizabeta then address Aruto again, nodding. "I'm fine. Thank you for asking."

He blinked and tilted his head in puzzlement. "You had an arranged marriage?" He questioned. Well that must have sucked. He thought solemnly to himself. "Anyways I'm fine myself. I was just out here to get some fresh air. Academics are great and all but a break is always nice." He shrugged.

He looked over at Eliza. "No problem." He glanced at the dog. "If pets are even allowed in the Courtyard is beyond me, but be careful no teachers catch him here. I really don't care myself what people bring out here. I wouldn't want to see a nice dog like that getting caught by some ignorant teacher." He glanced back at Joshua.

"What a shame! No girl should have to go to another country to escape marriage. Still, you seem to be doing rather well. Student council?"

"Probably not, but he does have a way with people." He laughed. "I'd be surprised if anyone could have the heart to get rid of him."

Both of them seemed pretty friendly, and more than willing to talk about themselves. Turning to Aruto, he asked, "How about you? What's your story?"

"Well, I would have left Hungary either way. The guy was nice, but I wasn't ready so ..." Elizabeta trailed off, blinking off the ground. She hadn't even told Aruto that, so why would she have told this person she didn't even know about the situation? She rubbed her head with the palm of her hand before nodding.

"Yeah. I'm the vice president. High honor, I must say. Plus, I have to work beside Aruto." she added, giving her friend a nudge in the ribcage along with a playful smile.

"That's to be expected. You're what seventeen? For me personally that'd be young, so I understand your circumstances." He hadn't recalled her ever telling him this but it was probably because it wasn't a subject you usually brought up, or maybe it wasn't important enough for her to bring up. Either way it's not like he talked much about his history either. He was more or less careful what he spilled out.

"I won't spill all the beans in the bowl here. I've been here and there. Had a not so fun encounter with DOS that lasted about a year. I travelled a bit before the curse. Slayed a few demons in the day, made a living out of it really. These days my life is somewhat dull." He shrugged.

"Tell me about you."

"So what?" he prompted, curious. "VP? Would Aruto here be the president then, or is it someone else I haven't had the pleasure of meeting? You student council members seem like a fun lot.

"DOS? How did that turn out?" He lowered his voice. "Have you heard of any recent activity?" He'd known that there was a kid out there who had once been a member of the DOS, but he probably wouldn't be much of a threat. Still, it would be good to know exactly how much he knew about the organization.

"Me? Not much to tell. I was raised not far from here, transferred in shortly before the incident, got some cool powers and a new dog." He shrugged. "Pretty boring compared to you lot. I have to say, I'm jealous. Even if your adventures weren't of the pleasant variety, at least you have something to tell stories about."
