    The gym was nearly empty this morning as I ran my laps and lifted a few weights.  I had to stay strong if I were to use my powers.  I stopped on my eighth lap, completing two miles.  I sat down for a moment, sweat was dripping down my chest, my arms, pretty much everywhere.  I pulled off my shirt and dabbed at my face before sliding my tortoiseshell colored glasses back on.  I stood up while swinging my damp white shirt around in my left hand.  "Time for the locker room," I said, not really paying attention to how loud I had accidentally said the phrase.

    I walked into the square small room, sickly pale lockers lined the walls.  I walked over to mine in the corner on the right side.  I unlocked my locker and tossed the shirt in without care.  I'll wash it tomorrow, I thought.  As I was about to strip, a shadow appeared next to me.  Great, just my luck.  Some new kid just had to get the locker next to mine.  So much for showering!  I looked over my shoulder, "Uh, hi?"

A tall, redhead entered the gym and looked around in amazement. The boy blocked out what the principal was saying as he scanned the gym with his green eyes. Nobody was there but a few guys. It was the morning, though. But, Jasper would've enjoyed a good work out in the morning. Not long after he entered the gym, the gym teacher walked in and introduced himself to Jasper. He also told Jasper what locker he would be assigned to. Jasper asked if he could go ahead and see his locker. The gym teacher nodded and lead Jasper to the locker room. They walked in the locker room together, and the gym teacher smiled at the boy that was in there. "Hey, Rikiya! Did you have a nice workout today?" The gym teacher was nice to everyone, but he could easily turn from nice to just down right mean in just a matter of seconds. It didn't take much to set him off. "Anyway, this is the school's new student, Jasper.... Wait a minute. You never told us your last name." Jasper winced slightly and looked away from the gym teacher, trying to come up with a fake last name on the spot. There was no way he was going to take back the last name of his mother. She was a total -colorful word-. After all the things she did to him and then she kicked him out of the house when he was thirteen. That boy had to do so many disgusting things to earn money because he was living out on the streets. Jasper got into street fights often, and he even had people take advantage of his body so he could have money to buy food. There were sometimes he had to go on without eating, because there was only so much he could get for him and his little sister, Alexis. "Uh... Anyway, this is Jasper. Jasper, this is Rikiya Higuchi." Jasper looked up at the boy he was being introduced to and a devious smirk was played on his lips. "Yo~" he sung in greeting. "Okay. I'm just going to let you settle in, and we will continue on with the tour from there." The gym teacher waved goodbye to the two boys before he left them alone in the locker room. Jasper snickered at Rikiya and walked over to the locker next to his. "Looks like we are locker neighbors. I'm sure we will become really good friends." He purred in a human-like way and stared at the boy with a mischievous look in his eyes.

    I watched the gym teacher leave.  My gaze switched to the red head, my messy brown hair fell over my glasses and I tried a couple times to blow it away.  I need a haircut... I absentmindedly thought.

    "Really good friends?  I highly doubt so.  I'm not a people person, per say."  I looked back down to my bare chest.  With a sighed I spun around walked off to the showers, stripping as I walked.  "I'm gonna shower if it doesn't bother you."

    After about five minutes, I reappeared out of the shower.  A towel was wrapped around my waist as I picked up my gym shorts and underwear.  I headed back to my locker to see the guy who was still there.  I raised my eyebrows slightly, but I looked away towards a long tall greenish colored locker that held my clothing.  My lips curved into a smile as I started dressing myself in my favorite loose neck t-shirt and a warm gray cardigan over top.  As soon as I was dressed, I looked at Jasper.  "If you're going to stand around in here all day, be useful and race me.  If I win, I never speak to you again, if you win... what do you want?"

Yeah. The gym teacher didn't think about it clearly that something would go wrong in that locker room. They barely knew anything about the new student, because he refused to talk about anything. He went to the town of Sylveran to start fresh with his sister. They were far away from their mother and that's all that mattered to Jasper. That woman... She was a nightmare. She used her son for many things... even the unthinkable. Jasper was his mother's favorite out of all of his siblings, but that made no sense because of the things she did to him. He had a few brothers that he never bothered to mention. They were just as sick as their mother... and Jasper. The only one that was pure in the family was Alexis. Jasper sighed and leaned against the lockers, waiting patiently for Rikiya to get done taking his shower. Of course, Jasper wanted to look because Rikiya was very interesting and kind of cute with those glasses of his. Jasper growled and tried to forget the thought of sneaking in the shower with Rikiya. Ugh... I can't get in trouble. It would just be harder on Alexis. She worries about me whenever I get into fights or I do something like... that. He was raised by a messed up family full of betrayals. But, it was his choice to be like the rest of his brothers and his mother. Or, he would start fresh in Sylveran like he wanted to do in the first place. Jasper blinked with curiosity that the boy wanted to race him. But, there was a deal to the race. If Rikiya won, he would never speak to Jasper again. Of course, that wouldn't keep Jasper from speaking to him. If Jasper won.... Hm... What would he want? "If I win, huh? Hm... I'll have to think about that. Oh! I know~ If I win, I get to have you for a whole day. All. To. Myself~"

    "All to yourself?  I'm not sure what that would do for you, but alright.  I thought you might've asked for something like lunch."  I shrugged it off and slipped on my black vans.  I lead the way to the upstairs track where no human being roamed.  I gave a quick yawn.  I could deal with this "locker-buddy" situation.  I was a member of the track team and had some of the best sprint scores in the school, but this guy was at my height range, so my long legs would no longer be an advantage.  "We'll start at this white line and end here as well.  I start us on go, kay?"

    I got into my starting position as I got ready to finish this easily.  "1, 2, 3, Go!"  I shouted, barreling out.  My glasses tumbled off to the side, my hair whipped my face as I ran.  Apparently, skinny jean weren't very got to run in, but it didn't bother me.

Darn it! Rikiya got him right there. Ugh.. I should've took more time thinking about that one. Well, it's too late now. Jasper shrugged and shoved his hands in his jeans pockets as he followed the boy to the upstairs track. It was completely empty up there. Just the way Jasper liked it if he was going to make the boy his. "Sure. Whatever." he said and got lined up with Rikiya. Jasper just stood there and waited for Rikiya to yell whatever meant that the race was going to begin. Jasper took off when Rikiya yelled one, two, three, go! The new student looked like he was actually enjoying the race. He didn't have much to lose, anyway. He would just lose a day with Rikiya, but he would still talk to him. Jasper liked running. It felt good to have his hair being brushed back as he ran swiftly. He was very impressed with Rikiya. Of course, why would Rikiya pick something like track if he wasn't good at it? Jasper was serious about it at first and then it just seemed like a normal run for him. No, he had to run as fast as he could to get Rikiya for a day, but he was also observing Rikiya as he ran almost next to the boy.

    What the hell?  How can he keep up?  I gritted my teeth and pushed myself, I could see the finish line, this would end quickly.  Yeah, no it didn't.  My ankle rolled and took a fall, slamming my shoulder onto the gym floor.  A squeak escaped my mouth and a tear escaped my eye and the shattering fall.  I stood back up, but immediately grabbed my shoulder.  Running would be pointless by this point.  I mumbled a string of cuss words as I slid back onto the floor, leaning against the brick wall.  "Ugh."  My arm transformed into metal.  No, not a sword or anything, it just was my shoulder and down had the skin replaced with metal.

    I flexed out my fingers and stood up.  I turned around abruptly and slung a punch into the wall.  Rage flying out as I left a nicely sized dent in the wall.  "Will you take me to the nurse?  My arm is self healing right now, but it hurts like hell.  I'd rather have a doctor treat it quickly."

Jasper came to a stop when he saw in the corner of his eye that Rikiya tripped and fell down. He landed pretty hard on his shoulder. It happened so fast that Jasper couldn't catch the boy in time. Rikiya's squeak was so cute! The tear made Jasper want to pull him in his arms and tell him that it was going to be all right. His green eyes sparkled with concern for the boy he was racing. Rikiya was hurt and that was more important than finishing some stupid race. It would have to be a tie. Jasper was surprised to see Rikiya's arm transform into metal. Ah~ So, that was his power. He smiled a little bit and shook his head as he walked over to Rikiya. "Y-Yeah. I think that would be best. Um.. But, I don't know where the nurse is.." He looked at Rikiya and wanted to to just grab his face and kiss him right there, but then Rikiya wouldn't want him to go with him to the nurse. Jasper's hands were starting to tingle as he tried to hold himself back. Rikiya needed to get to the nurse as soon as possible. A grin appeared on Jasper's face when he realized something. "Ah~ I see how it is. You could always have the gym teacher take you to the nurse but you chose me instead, hm? You sneaky little devil~"

    My eyes widened as I looked at him.  My cheeks slowly grew red.  "Do you see a gym teacher here at the moment?  Get over yourself!"  To tell you the truth, the gym teacher creeped me out a bit.  Just too nice to me for my comfort.  I shivered at the thought of that teacher taking me.  "Your here right now, what does it matter for who takes me?  You can leave."  I was really pushing the fact that I didn't have any specific feelings.

    "I just need to go now.  I'm in a lot of pain."  This power was no good.  I was gritting my teeth again, this turned out to be a habit of mine.  I looked directly at his green eyes before spinning around and running towards the exit with my hand still gripping my shoulder.  He can just go die in a hole for all I care!  Not like he matters... right?

Jasper chuckled at the sight of Rikiya's cheeks turning red. "Someone is acting cute~" he teased. "The gym teacher is just downstairs. That's where we have to go to get to the nurse, right?" He put on a frowny face when Rikiya just brushed him off like he meant nothing. That was cold of him to do that. Of course, Jasper would be annoyed if some guy walked up to him and started flirting. What a hypocrite! Jasper found a great interest in Rikiya, so he couldn't help himself. The boy chuckled as he watched Rikiya look at him before he turned around and ran off. Jasper ran after him and came up to his side, grinning at him. "You can't get far with your arm like that. I'll take you to the nurse."

    Looked over at him while running.  "Just shut up!  I'm not cute or anything!"  I frowned at him and turned a corner, running towards the white sign with a red a plus on it.  I entered the little room, a busty nurse appearing from behind a curtain.  Her eyes widened as she looked at my metal engulfed arm.  "Well, fix that before I do anything," She said as she nodded towards my arm.  I sighed as closed my eyes and waited for the cool iron to dissolve back into my skin.  The pain level decreased for a moment, but sky rocketed the second after.

    "Oh my.  Your shoulder is dislocated!  I can't pop it back into socket, but I suggest you grab something, it's quite painful."  I looked over to Jasper with big eyes.  I almost groaned as I looked down to his hand.  

    "Gimme your hand.  She said to grab something."  I reached out for him.

"Oh, well now. I beg to differ. I think you are very adorable." It made Jasper feel like he was in control whenever Rikiya broke out into a blushing fit. He laughed as he tried to keep up with the boy, which wasn't hard to do since Rikiya twisted his ankle not long ago. Jasper was shocked that he lost Rikiya when he made a turn around the corner. Where did he go? The boy looked around and spotted a white sign with a red cross on it. That had to be the nurse's office. Jasper peeked in the room, and his jaws dropped when he saw the busty nurse. The nurse was hot, and she had some huge breasts. Were they even allowed to have a hot nurse like that in the school? Oh, well. Jasper didn't care, because he liked what he was seeing. He looked at Rikiya and smiled at him, taking his hand into his. "You look so cute with that look on your face. Don't worry. Jasper is here for you." he said in a teasing way.

    A warm hand clasped mine and two ice cold hands grasped my shoulder.  "For the last time, I'm not--"  My words faded out into nothing a gripped Jasper's hand tight and brute strength shoved my shoulder inwards.  My mouth hung open and my eyes stung with painful tears.  I felt the cold hands released me and placed one pat the top of my brown haired head.  "There.  I'll give you some painkillers to help that shoulder.  The pain should be almost better by now."  I looked at the nurse with fear.  How much strength did she exactly have to be able to do such a thing?

    I looked down to take a relaxed breath when I saw that my clammy bony hand was still clinging to Jasper's.  I released almost immediately and looked away.  It's not like I needed him to hold my hand or anything.  "Ah, nurse, can I just have the pills?"  The lady spun around dropped a little pink container into my hand.  I opened it up and overlooked the contents.  Little red pills.

    "Take one every four hours.  This supply'll last you for a couple days."  She dropped another pink container in my hand.  "Don't overdose dear."  I nodded my thanks and pushed past the red headed boy.

    "You get a whole day of me tomorrow.  In a real race I would have had to forfeit.  You win no matter what."  I didn't look at him as I spoke.

Jasper chuckled as Rikiya started to protest but faded out. He was cute whenever he was blushing and wanting to protest. The redhead bent his head down and whispered into Rikiya's ear, "Don't be so modest, Rika~ I know you're just saying those things to get my attention. You want me to shower you with more compliments. How about I just show you how cute I think you are?" He cupped Rikiya's chin with his free hand and turned his face to his. Jasper's green eyes softened calmly, and he leaned in forward to kiss the boy. Hopefully, it would distract him from the pain. Rikiya had a few tears rolling down his cheeks... Uh-oh. Jasper had to do his thing. He leaned in again and licked the boy's salty tears off of his cheek. Rikiya must've made a big impression on Jasper without even trying. Jasper really liked the boy. A grin appeared on his face when he heard that he won the race. "You sounded so cold hearted when you said that. But, we both know you want to be mine for a day if not more than just a day." He grinned as he followed the boy out of the nurse's office. Jasper didn't care if the nurse heard or saw anything he did to Rikiya. The boy couldn't help it. He was falling hard for Rikiya.

    I bit my lip, trying not to say anything.  I had had the tears on my cheeks licked away, he almost kissed me, plus he called me Rika.  What was I to even do?  "I don't know what your objective in me is.  I'm of no high social standing like a student council member. I can't do anything of importance for you.  I don't understand you.  Why would any human being want a day of myself?"  I said as I started walking.  I moved past the gym and exited into the outdoors, trying to mentally grasp was I was to this red headed boy who just suddenly appears and goes all cassanova on me, not like I found him attractive or like cassanova.

    "Any who, where would you like to meet for our little date-- no, wait-- um, our little meeting?"  I tried to correct myself as fast as possible.  "How about the beach, somewhere nice and public?"  He can't attack me in public.  I looked behind myself, hoping he wouldn't notice the redness still on my cheeks.
